EXPERT FORUM

The ERAC 2025 Expert Forum took place on December 1, 2025, in the distinguished Kristalna Palača Conference Hall, located in BTC City Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event was organized under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of the City of Ljubljana, reflecting its significance for both the professional community and the city’s commitment to fostering expert dialogue and innovation.
Well-chosen topics
This year’s event was moderated by the remarkable Žan Črnič, focusing on the central theme “Caught in Technology / Losing Ourselves” and the topic “Preventing Dangerous and Risky Behaviors Among Youth.” The discussion drew on insights from EUROPOL’s recent report on the recruitment of minors for criminal activities through multiplayer online games, highlighting the growing risks young people face in digital environments.

The opening speech was delivered by Jože Oberstar, Vice President of IPO Slovenia, who highlighted the organization’s past work and achievements, as well as its future vision and mission, together with those of ERAC.
As the event’s honorary patron, a welcome address was delivered on behalf of the Mayor of the City of Ljubljana by Mr. Dejan Crnek, Deputy Mayor of the City of Ljubljana. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude for the project and reaffirmed the city’s continued support for initiatives that focus on prevention and raising awareness in the field of violence reduction.
